• less clutter by removing redundant sections

We’ve made some overdue updates:

- Khutbah Generator has been updated with a cleaner font and better quality of Arabic text

- Khateeb Scheduler has been updated to a Google Spreadsheet template (for use in Google Drive) or a Excel Spreadsheet (downloadable). 

Thank you for the people who use the site and give us feedback. Its due to your feedback that we find the motivation to update the site.

We are – alhamdulillah – back online again. We’ve been down recently (as you may have noticed) for a few weeks due to a malware attack. But we’ve fought that off and even added extra protection (in the form of SiteLock) to make sure that this does not happen again, insha Allah.

Last Friday we had a site outage, due to some problems with our hosting company. So the website was down. Alhamdulillah, now everything is back to normal.

The Jumah prayer is a massive responsibility and scheduling khateebs can be a potential nightmare. To avoid any potential scheduling problems, we’ve posted a Khateeb Scheduler. This has been used by the University of Waterloo Muslim Students’ Association for a while to smoothly schedule Khateebs for the on-campus Jumahs.

There are many advantages to using this:

1. Khateeb availability is known ahead of time, so the person responsible can plan ahead and reduce the number of “last minute” khutbahs.
2. Collaboration of ideas and khutbah topics can be done in one place.
3. Khateebs who are scheduled ahead of time have more time to get ready for their khutbah.

A few updates and improvements to the Khutbah Generator:

1. The ayah from Surah Ahzab was chopped off. This is now fixed, alhamdulillah. Jazak Allaho khairan to the brother who pointed this out.
2. The text for the Khutbah was updated to include one more hadith.
3. Lastly, now you can include an image into your Khutbah. So, if you want to include an ayah, you include it by clicking the image button and entering the URL for the file.
